Statement on “ceasefire” and continuing resistance
We now witness Israel’s third “ceasefire” since 10.7.2023. There is no peace. Israel occupies 53% of Gaza, destroys her waterways, defiles her land, forces displacement on her people, bombards her from the sky, manufactures her famine. Zionist settlers steal from Palestine & her people. Israel won’t leave til Hamas puts down their weapons, marking “peace” for Israel only. Israel still gets billions in aid & weapons from the US to continue its existence as a US puppet state & arm of its imperialist project.
Yet we take heed of the Resistance’s response: “What [Palestinian resistance has] achieved represents a political & security failure for the occupation’s plans & a shattering of its goals to impose displacement & uprooting.” The bravery of Palestinians inspires us all to hold steadfast in our shared war against Western imperialism & capitalism. Globally we must force Israel & the United States to kneel to the inevitability of total Palestinian liberation.
Global solidarity with Palestine over the past two years shows that Israel has lost its facade as a victim. The US is also mask-off as the world’s cop, “keeping the peace” through terror the same way they do within the Americas.
The Israeli Genocidal Forces have taught their techniques to their brothers-in-arms here — the US military, ICE, Customs & Border Patrol, the feds, the police forces that kidnap our neighbors & destroy families & communities. They brutalize us in LA, Chicago, Detroit because they fear the power our migrant communities harness & the chokehold we all can leverage to end global U.S. hegemony. We have our teachers too: the Palestinian resistance.
“CEASEFIRE” IS A CALL TO ACTION: Call the peace bluff & strike where the money is from within the heart of US empire. Continuous organization against the occupation is required by us until Zionism is destroyed. This bluff can’t distract from the struggles across the world for total liberation from U.S. imperialism, including in Venezuela & Cuba.
